The fine print, in plain words

Terms

These are the main terms for every MAY Studios booking. Your contract has the full details for your session and always takes priority.

01 Booking & payment

  • Your date is secured once your contract is signed and the 60% booking deposit is received. Dates are first-come, first-served.
  • The deposit is non-refundable.
  • The balance is due before your final images and films are released. We may share a watermarked preview before then.
  • We accept mobile money, bank transfer and cash.

02 Changes & cancellations

  • You can reschedule once with at least 7 days' notice, subject to availability; your deposit carries over.
  • If you cancel, the deposit is kept. Your contract sets out what happens to any other payments.
  • There's a 30-minute grace period on the day; after that, lost time comes out of the session.
  • Shoots outside Greater Accra carry a travel charge, and extra time on the day is charged by the hour.

03 Delivery, gallery links & backups

  • Your online gallery link stays open for 30 days from the day we share it, then it expires. Please download your photos and films and keep copies somewhere safe — your computer plus a backup drive or cloud storage.
  • USB / pendrive delivery is available at a separate cost. Once the pendrive is in your hands, keeping it and its files safe is your responsibility.
  • After the link expires (or the pendrive is handed over), we keep a backup for 6 months only. After that, the files are permanently deleted.
  • Recovery within those 6 months: the first recovery costs 20% of your original package price and a second costs 40%. A recovery reopens your gallery for another 30 days or puts your files on a new pendrive (charged separately). No further recoveries are offered.

04 Editing

  • We select and edit your images in our style. RAW / unedited files aren't supplied.
  • 2 rounds of edits are included; extra rounds are GH₵ 300 each.

05 Your photos & our portfolio

  • MAY Studios keeps the copyright; you get a personal licence to print, share and post your images. Commercial use and full rights are available separately.
  • We may show some images in our portfolio and on social media. Prefer we didn't? Tell us in writing before your session and we'll respect it.
